Supplied to Remote Sites
Leaf Free Gutter Guard delivers gutter guard in the NT to homes, communities and commercial sites, including places where getting materials on site takes planning.
Because we manufacture, we can work to a delivery schedule rather than whatever a distributor happens to hold. Ordering the mesh, preparation products and trims together avoids a second freight run for something small.

Gutter Guard Mesh in the NT
Humidity works on metal continuously rather than in bursts, and it finds any weakness in a coating or an alloy.
316 stainless steel is the answer to that. It contains molybdenum, which is what gives it resistance to chloride corrosion and makes it the grade specified in marine environments. There's no coating to fail because the material itself is the protection.
Poly coated aluminium relies on its two-step finish, which is well suited to most conditions. Fibreglass won't corrode at all, though it carries no fire rating.

Residential Gutter Guard in the NT
Heavy rainfall tests the whole drainage path, not just the gutter. A downpipe that copes with ordinary rain can be overwhelmed when a roof is shedding water at full rate, and any restriction in it makes that worse.
Debris is what creates the restriction. Leaf matter washing off the roof collects at the outlet and reduces the effective size of the pipe well before it blocks it completely.
Mesh keeps that material out of the system entirely, so the downpipe works at the capacity it was sized for. Our residential range covers common roof profiles.
Commercial and Strata Gutter Guard in the NT
Remote commercial and industrial sites have narrow maintenance windows. Getting trades and equipment to site is planned well ahead, and anything that reduces the number of return visits has real value.
Mesh is a one-visit job that removes a recurring one. For a site maintenance plan, that's a straightforward substitution.
We supply by the roll in 250mm, 500mm and 1000mm widths, with tape configured to the profile and delivery scheduled to suit site access.

Gutter Guard Fitting in the NT
Humidity affects fitting more than heat does. Surfaces that look dry can still hold moisture, and adhesive laid over it never reaches full strength.
The practical approach is to allow generous drying time after gutters are washed, and to fit during the driest part of the day rather than early morning.
Beyond that the sequence is unchanged: clean thoroughly, prime where the coating is chalky, lay the mesh, roll it down under firm even pressure, then finish edges and valleys.
Gutter Cleaning and Repair in the NT
Storms load gutters quickly. A single event can drop more material into a run than months of ordinary leaf fall, and it arrives wet and packed rather than loose.
Clearing that out is the first job before mesh is fitted, followed by flushing the downpipes, which is usually where the heaviest material ends up.
While the run is open, check for rust at the base of the channel, split seams and brackets that have moved. Then wash it down and let it dry completely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Sustained humidity accelerates corrosion in materials not specified for it, particularly where coatings are thin or damaged. Marine-grade stainless and fibreglass both handle it well.
