What Makes a Fix Hold
An adhesive fix is only as good as the surface underneath it. At Leaf Free Gutter Guard, we supply the gutter guard sealant, primers and tools that prepare a roof properly, because that preparation is what decides whether our mesh is still holding in fifteen years or lifting in three.
Roofs collect grime, oxidised coating and residue that adhesive can't grip. Cleaning that off, priming where needed and applying even pressure along the tape is the whole job. Everything below is stocked alongside the mesh and ships anywhere in Australia.
Call 1300 456 678 if you're unsure what a particular roof needs.

Pressure rollers & applicators for even bonding
Saddles & angle trims for edges, valleys & finishing
Preparation Products
Prepclean is an isopropyl-based cleaner used to strip dust, oils and residue off the roof surface before the mesh goes down. It's available as a spray for smaller areas and in a 1L tin for full runs.
Primetite is the primer used where a surface needs more than cleaning to take adhesive reliably. On older or heavily weathered roofs it's the difference between a bond that grips and one that never quite does.
Fitting Tools and Trims
A pressure roller drives the mesh onto the tape with consistent force along the whole run, which hand pressure can't match. Applicators help lay tape neatly and get the mesh positioned before it's committed.
Saddles hold the mesh at the gutter edge, and angle trims finish valleys, corners and terminations so the run looks deliberate rather than cut short. Full fitting sequence is covered in our installation guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Adhesive bonds to the surface it touches, so dust, oxidised coating and oily residue all sit between the tape and the roof. Cleaning removes that layer and lets the tape grip the substrate itself.
